Seeing SYMMETRY

This picture book explains what butterflies, totem poles, and the Lincoln Memorial have in common, as well as King Tut, a kite, and the word “WOW.” Like many animals, plants, and objects, they all have SYMMETRY. Learning about line and rotational symmetry is a great way to visually explore basic math concepts such as geometry, equality, measuring, patterns, repeats, and transformations.
