About the author-illustrator
Loreen Leedy has been writing and illustrating picture books since she was 25 years old. An art major in college, she wasn't quite sure what kind of artist to be. By combining words and art to make picture books, she soon began a successful career in publishing. Her books are known for showcasing math, science, and language arts content in an engaging way that kids love. She has also created many unique teaching resources for the classroom. Loreen lives in central Florida with her husband Andrew Schuerger, who is a scientist.
