| Since February, 2008, I’ve been a once-a-month blogger on I.N.K. (Interesting Nonfiction for Kids.) Written by a group of children’s authors, the age levels range from picture book to YA. It’s been a fun learning experience, which recently led to the formation of a free, searchable, standards-based database called the I.N.K. Think Tank.
Librarians, teachers, and nonfiction lovers of all ages are really enjoying this resource.
To read my posts about a variety of topics, go to the I.N.K. blog, look on the right sidebar under Search By Author, and click on my name. That will bring up all of my posts with the most recent on top. Many of the posts recommend books by various authors on the topic under discussion. Here are a few of the titles of my posts: The Art of Diversity How Easy is it Being Green? Raising the Standard “Being Smart is Coo!l Another Gift Idea Crazy About Similes! This Post is a Joke An Infinity of Meanings Digging up Prehistoric Reference When Facts Change: Updating Nonfiction Putting That Creative Spark into Book Form 1 Idea…Many Versions…1 Book Should Humans Go to Mars? Writing for I.N.K. inspired me to start a blog about the myriad of activities that take place in my studio. To visit my Studio Blog, click here. |
